Determining your business requirements

We can perform in-depth one-on-one interviews with key decision makers, focus groups, phone interviews and questionnaire surveys. A typical research project typically has four phases:

  • Objectives and research design

We work with you and your senior staff to determine your objectives and suggest alternative research approaches. Our criteria are always economy, practicality and usefulness of the results.

  • In-depth exploratory interviews

The research objectives and design meetings typically define a range of issues, subjects and questions that need to be explored. In-depth exploratory interviews with typical subjects help focus the issues and interview questions.

  • Design the interview schedule or focus group sessions

The exploratory interviews define the interview schedule or focus group.

  • Data collection, surveys or focus groups

Your staff or management can participate in the interviews and focus groups as needed.

  • Analysis and presentation of results

Results are presented in formal presentations and planning sessions.

The business requirements phase sets the overall objectives and scope of the project including criteria for success, budget and timeframe. It frequently includes a survey of potential users to determine how you can better serve their needs and your own business objectives. It may also include benchmark reviews of competitors.
